Coming Out Group-
Date and Time: Wednesday, 8:00 - 9:30pm
This group is designed for 3-6 people. The initial commitment is 12 weeks. After that time we will evaluate whether to continue the group or not. Each person can decide whether they want to continue or end depending on need. Target start date: April 1 (we will not start until we have a minimum of 3 members). This is a group for both men and women who are coming out as gay or lesbian. Coming out is often a very difficult thing, especially for those from a faith background. The risk of loss of relationship is real. The desire to be authentic and stop hiding is equally strong. This can be a very isolating time. In this group you would hear the story and see the face of the person across from you. You will hear and know that you are not alone. |
